New Patients: What to Expect

For many people, oral health is very important and finding a dentist who perfectly suits their needs is a priority. Generally, patients select a dentist and continue to see them for a long time. However, a move to a new neighborhood or changes in your oral health may result in the need to find a new dentist. To help you prepare, here is a brief description of everything you should expect during your first visit to a new dentist at Family Dentistry of Ellisville.

A Comprehensive Exam and X-Rays

All new patients undergo a comprehensive exam, which allows our dentist to establish a specific treatment plan to address any issues. The exam involves an evaluation of your teeth and gums and taking some x-rays. X-rays allow our dentist to diagnose problems inside the teeth, jaw and gums that might otherwise go unnoticed. Tooth decay, abscesses, impacted teeth or jawbone damage will all be visible on an x-ray and the details provided could make all the difference in your overall oral health.

A Treatment Plan

Once the comprehensive exam and X-rays are complete, our dentist will provide you with solutions to your dental issues. Through a comprehensive dental treatment plan, our dentist can fix the issues affecting your oral health. Each treatment plan is developed and personalized to your specific needs.

Our dentist and expert team are ready to answer any questions you might have. Visit our office in Ellisville, Missouri or call  to set up an appointment at your earliest convenience.
